Am I a crazy dance mom?

Saturday, April 06, 2013

I weigh in every Sunday and so far for my first weigh in last week I lost pounds. I get to weigh in tomorrow morning and I am actually excited for the first time. I know I have had to lose weight this week just because of my crazy schedule. I now know how I have gained all of this weight through the years. I am one BUSY, BUSY mom. Between dance and softball it does not leave me much time in between. Today we woke up to get ready for dance pictures by 9:30 am, then back home to go back to dance pictures again at 1 pm, then off to softball practice from 3-5 pm. This is my next three weekends. April 20th is the worse where we have dance auditions, 2 softball games, dance pictures and another dance audition. Whew!!! I used to eat out at a fast food restaurant because it was easier for us and definitely quicker but now I am trying to eat as much as I can at home. I have been preparing meals ahead of time or like yesterday I packed my lunch to eat at the park with my son. He loved it! emoticon Even during the week, we have so much going on that it is hard to stay on track but I have done it and am very proud of myself. I often use our busy life as an excuse of why I can't eat healthy. I have now realized that I am done making excuses.
Dance registration is already going on for next fall and my daughter has already decided that she is going to be taking at least 3 classes maybe a 4th but we need to wait for a meeting first about that class plus my son is going to be taking hip hop classes also. So that could potentially mean 4 nights a week at a dance studio and my daughter is only 7. I love that she is so active because it keeps her healthier. emoticon
