Spring is Here!

Today I wasn't feeling motivated to work out, but Stephen kindly insisted that I put on some walking clothes and accompany him and Toby on the trail behind our apartment. I dragged my feet getting ready, but when I got out there I remembered how beautiful that trail is and how ridiculous it is that I don't enjoy it more often! I saw many squirrels, some Canada geese, a cute cottontail bunny, a couple of ducks, and a bluebird. And Toby pooped.

The trip back to the apartment is always the hardest part by far. The complex is at the top of a hill, and the trail is at the bottom. At its steepest, the hill is probably close to 40 degrees. I have to remember that when I'm out walking, so that even if I'm feeling like I have a lot of energy left, I need to not forget what lies ahead. The dreaded hill!!

Feeling good. Glad I walked. Stephen and Toby were great company as always, and Oliver greeted us when we came back. I love my furry family!

    I've been looking at fitness motivation stuff on Pinterest lately, and one of my favorites to think about when I'm feeling too lazy to get into my athletic clothes and do something is, "Have you ever regretted working out when you were done?" (NO!) emoticon
