Planning meals really?

Being impulsive is what stops me from planning meals. Whenever I plan meals I don't want them anymore...but today's tip on SparkCoach was to start planning meals. I plan the weekend meals and make them so by Sunday night we are having leftovers.

Breakfast is cereal or oats for the teens and hubby. I tend to have oats/smoothies/fruit&nuts/slic
e of home made bread with almond/peanut butter
Lunch now that the weather is warmer is salad with quinoa/wild rice/beans..
Supper (my downfall) is usually some type of cooked veg, eggs/dairy, salad, nuts and fruits and maybe a grain or two..A drink of warmed up almond/oat milk or hot apple juice/cider

I also tend to binge in the evening before having supper.

I'm off dairy for now as I have a bad cold and when I get bad colds I come off dairy for a few weeks.

I just finished making the food for the weekend.

Family are having: Homemade Challa (bread)Chicken soup, chicken (in orange and lime freshly squeezed), couscous, roasted veg (no oil just spices and cherry tomatoes to ensure moisture) and for dessert rhubarb and mango stewed (no sugar added). I'm having the veg and fruit and a slice of challa with humous.

Sat Lunch: Family are having chicken, rice and brocolli, I will make salads to go with it. Dessert is berries and coconut milk scattered with nuts.

Sunday: Smoothie, Lunch is a salad, Supper roasted veg and maybe a slice of bread with almond butter or nuts
Monday: Too far away for me to plan...

I found planning meals too far in advance doesn't help me. I do plan for a day or two and always try to cook a meal with leftovers so we have a quick lunch or extra dinner. Hope your meal planning works our for you. It does get easier once you get used to it.
