The crows that nest a couple blocks over and use my bird bath are back. I saw them wheeling this way and that across the sky day before yesterday and on the roof of my shed yesterday. They look healthy and strong. Wherever they go for the winter, it's good to them. I don't understand why they come back to the arid high plains when they could head for the corn belt and always have a supply of good food and water. Here they jockey for scraps in the McDonalds and Walmart parking lots and search through neighborhoods for puddles and bird baths. The only reason for them being here that I can come up with is that this is where their parents lived so this is where they live. They don't know that it's possible to live any place else. I'm glad that I know I have choices, that I can change my life for the better.

Sad to think that even crows eat Fast Food!!! lol. We have had them in DE. also come in hugh flocks very loud and demanding. My husband and I love to feed the birds but between these crows and squirrels the poor finches, cardinals, chickadees and other small birds have a hard time. The Blue Jays will peck at the squirrils tails though. The squirrels will chatter at them but the Jays will not back off. Too cute. Aren't we bless to have healthy choices available to us and Sparks to help us on our way. Wishing you the best on your journey to a healhier you!
