Hi Spark!
This past month has been a hard one for me. Lots of stress. The result was that I was on and off with my eating. I would eat great for a day or two and then terrible for a day or two. In the end I gained a few pounds back (6 to be exact). It is time to get this under control before I end up were I started.
Update for my boys: My son's broken arm is healing. His surgery went well and all looks good. I have made my peace with holding my 2nd grader back a year. He isn't happy because of the friend situation. But, he is a sweet boy and I am sure he will make new friends quickly.
Good news in that the pay deduction of 43 percent that the border patrol was to receive has been temporarily put on hold. We are taking a 8 percent cut instead of 43. After a month they will reevaluate whether to go ahead with the 43. However, with the media attention and such, I don't see how they can proceed with that, so I am feeling positive. On a positive note, we learned that we can get by on much less than we thought. We have decided to keep living like this (not quite as extreme), but trying to save incase we face something like this again.
So, my husband said back when this pay cut was first being talked about that if it didn't happen he would do a two week juice fast with me. Woo Hoo. We start Saturday. He wants to have his last meal so to speak tomorrow night. We haven't been out to dinner in over a month (something we used to do once a week). I am so excited I want to start right now. I felt so good when i did my 30 day fast. I am thinking it will be even easier now that I won't have to cook for him. I am making meals today and putting in the freezer for the kids, so I don't have to cook. Baked cookies and froze yesterday, along with biscuits for breakfast. They are also on the healthy side as I don't want to feed the kids all that sugar and fat either.
Thanks to all my spark friends who have said prayers for me this month. It was very much appreciated.
