We all make mistakes. If any of us were to say we didn’t, well, that would be a mistake. We all mess up. There are times we do things wrong unwillingly and times we do wrong on purpose thinking it won’t really matter or no one will know. However, when we are found out, that is when we begin to feel bad about what we did. When others make mistakes, we should do ask God commands and forgive them just like we would want to be forgiven.

Proverbs 17:9 “Love prospers when a fault is forgiven, but dwelling on it separates close friends.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, help us to realize and recognize that no one is perfect but You. We all make mistakes. If there is someone in our lives who has done wrong, show us Your compassion, Your love and Your mercy so that we are able to forgive them. Sometimes we can’t forgive on our own, not truly forgive as You want us to. Help us to be a forgiving friend today so that we can help others and lift them up to You rather than bring them down. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

When we can show forgiveness rather than judgment, we can be a friend.

Knowing that we all make mistakes at some point in our lives is good reason to forgive others.

God wants us to forgive others just as He forgives us.

We can have more friends when we learn to forgive.

Forgiveness clears consciousness, cleans hearts and brings greater love to relationships.

Luke 7:47 “I tell you, her sins—and they are many—have been forgiven, so she has shown me much love. But a person who is forgiven little shows only little love.” (NLT)
