Trying something new

I usually don't like new things. I decided that with the healthy living changes that I needed to try new things.

Now, eating is something I love to do. Looking at some of the healthier recipes include fish. There was only two times in my life that I could eat fish and not get ill...I was pregnant with my daughters. 20 years for the first one and 13 for the second. My boys were a no go on the fish. They are in-between my girls.

Having mentioned this, I have decided to try to eat fish. To try different kinds to find one that I can handle without getting sick. I bought a variety of fish. (Cod, Tilapia, Whiting Fillets, Perch and Alaskan Flounder)

I have tried the Cod and...I liked it. For this month along with reaching 500 fitness minutes, I plan on trying all the new fish. That is my new thing for the month of April.

    Oh, my dear, good for you!! I'm not a fish eater myself, but I've been trying to get the courage to try it more often as well. Good for you! Let us know how you do with them! How are you preparing them? I'm going to have to try some so I'll wait to hear how you did yours! :) GO FISH!

    When you find a fish that you like, try different ways of cooking it. There are many ways to eat fish and some you will like better than others. Also, be sure that the fish is fresh or frozen before use because sometimes what makes fish taste the worst is when it's been sitting in the fridge for a few days.

    You could also try salmon (in small quantities because it can be strong), walleye, and pollock.

    emoticon emoticon I've been eating different types of fish for the past month. My all time favorite is fried catfish.
    I've grown to love baked talapia. I recently tried flounder and pollock. Both of them were okay as well.
