March results: April Goals

Monday, April 01, 2013

Well, March was great. Not because I lost tons of weight or broke any records but just because I fianlly got off my butt and started doing something about it all.

I didn't get going until mid-March so my results are only from the 18th.

As of March 18
Weight: 239 (BMI=34.29)
Waist: 39
Most recent run: A long time ago so time and distance don't matter

As of April 1
Weight: 236.4 (BMI=33.9)
Waist: 38.75 (if I suck in well)
Most recent run: 2.34 in 30 minutes

That is a loss of 2.6 in about 2 weeks. It's a good start. I can't wait until I have a full month in to see a real measurement of progress. Since I didn't really get my mojo going until late March, there obviously aren't huge changes.

April Goals:
-Complete all the runs scheduled in my Running for Weight Loss Plan
The plan calls for 3-4 runs per week. Very doable. Hopefully, the weather will cooperate so I can do the mid-week runs during my lunch break. I hate having to wait until the end of the day after I get a kid or two to sleep. We already start the day at 5:00 AM so I just can't get up any earlier.

-1500 Net calories 90% of the time
Sounds easy enough. Let's see how reality goes.

- Toning exercises at least once a week
I traditionally dislike toning, weightlifting etc but it is a necessity.

-Stay Focused on the short term
Right now I am not looking past Memorial Day. That's in less than 8 weeks. I just want to push hard and see what I can do by then. I'm calling in my Chestertown Challenge, because we always go to Chestertown, MD on Memorial Day for their Tea Party Festival. I don't really have a specific reason for wanting to be slimmer then other than the general reasons, but it makes a good target date.

So that's April. Let's do it.

ETA: I decided to join the SP 28 day Bootcamp Challenge. Started on April 1st. So that is another goal. Complete Bootcamp.
