Marvelous Monday

Monday, April 01, 2013

What a busy day! Traveled to son and daughter in laws for the Easter celebration. MIL was in rare form. It was cool and I insisted she bring a coat with a hood and she threw a fit. We had planned to go to a park to fly kites.....but I kept firm. She just wanted to wear her suit jacket only. Then of course she wouldn't wear it and got cold coming out of church while we were waiting for them to pick us up. I try to remember my desire is to treat her with respect and dignity...and not grumble. The weather was misting rain and cool so decided to go back to her grandmas and hang out. Sat in a chair all afternoon. Was so buggy....I like getting out and doing something physical. Ended up after dinner singing Happy Birthday to Mom and she cried. DIL made mini cupcakes. So she was better going home...but it was late and made for a short night. MIL is sure a pistol. The worship service was awesome and she sat while we sang with her arms crossed. Tried not to let her affect my worship. Said she really enjoyed it but I wonder how????? It's not for me to judge though. I know I just need to let it go....she is what she is difficult and all. I will love and honor her regardless of her behavior. I will show Christ's love to her.

Off to make it a great day and will challenge myself not to grumble about MIL today or I'll be just like her emoticon She is lonely and just wants to be loved and get attention.

Happy birthday, to MIL and glad you are home safely. Easter is over, and today truly (April Fool Day) is MARYJOANNA's 76th birthday. Prank her or give her your best BD wishes. Let's have some fun, Kathleen! I think it is a magnificent and manic Monday. emoticon
