Blessed Easter holiday with family

Sunday, March 31, 2013

I had a little bit of a mixed up day - late to bed and late to get up - but we had a great Easter with family. Hubby and boys got up and went to Easter service by themselves this morning. I'm not sure that's ever happened before. Hubby grew up Catholic but we were married in the Methodist Church and have raised our kids Methodist. He's still more comfortable in the Catholic situation since he's known that his whole life so I was glad that he got the boys to Church without me or my daughter.

Sarah had to work at Outback and didn't get home until about 7pm. Hubby had put my ham in this afternoon so all I had to do was make the mashed potatoes and gravy, cook carrots (with brown sugar glaze), make peas and crescent rolls. I love sitting down with the entire family and having a nice, relaxed dinner. Made my holiday extra special to have everyone around.

I did get outside and walk today for 30 minutes so my exercise streak continues. I'm guessing that the next few days are going to be a bit cooler but maybe I'll still get outside since it'll be mid 40's.
