Nature Walks ROCK!

I've always loved nature walks, but I've only done one since moving to Auckland (7 years ago!) because I walk to and from work every workday. After having such a lazy weekend, I completed my quarterly health review yesterday and I decided to go and check out the nearby Te Atatu Peninsula Walkway this morning ... needless to say I clocked up a 100 minute walk which I thoroughly enjoyed and savoured. I love being by the sea.
To be honest, my body has been aching from being so lethargic. I'm so glad I have maintained my walking regime and stayed off smoking (I am SO OVER that!). Over eating is still a problem, and so I am going to track this week. I'm also going to add in my strengths training. Yesterday I read so many inspiring stories, and this morning, I saw so many fit people ... I know I can do this too.
So this morning I envisioned buyng my own kayak and tripping around with it on my roof rack (of my very cool Juke) ... Yep - that'd be a cool goal for 2013/14 summer ... bring it!
