Oh for a FitBit ... 4 Miles in a Day? 5?
Sunday, March 31, 2013
I got home from Singapore yesterday afternoon. It was a totally whirlwind trip. I left Monday afternoon, got in at 1230AM Singapore time Wednesday morning, had meetings Wednesday and Thursday, but Friday I got to be a tourist all day. I really wish I had a FitBit for that day. My estimate is that I walked 4-5 miles. I did take the MRT between neighborhoods because HOLY CRAP IT WAS HOT but I walked A LOT around Singapore.
I started at Orchard Road, where I lived for two months when I was 13. I managed to find my building really fast even though *everything* has changed in 20 years. I also got to Raffles, Marina Bay Sands, Gardens by the Bay, the Maxwell Street Hawker Center, the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, and Arab Street.
I posted a few photos at plus.google.com/
if you're so inclined.

I definitely ate a lot while I was there, and especially Wednesday and Thursday didn't have any activity to burn it off. Friday, however, I ate less and moved a ton more.
All in all, I came home a pound lower than when I left, so I'll take it!
I had a great time, but it's good to be home now.
