The Workout Cobbler and New DVDS

Friday, March 29, 2013

I forgot that I had ordered new discs. They arrived while I was out of town. I have Petra Kolber's 'Liquid Grooves', I just love her!! Its a combination of yoga and tai chi. I also have Cathe's 'All Out Low Impact HIIT'. I love having short segments at high intensity that I can add to my workouts. There are 3 rounds ranging from 5 min. to 13 min. She also included 3 bonuses: core, burn set chest, and burn set shoulders. I am really fond of anything done with her new sliding discs. I think they are hilarious and a blast. I also picked up Shiva Rea's AM Energy. It was the last disc of hers that I didn't own yet. I love having so many different yoga segments to choose from. This disc includes 3 different 20 minute practices. There is also a bonus segment from 'Radiant Heart'.

I have not been feeling great over the last twenty four hours. I've had some GI issues, not painful ones, but draining. I went to my favorite Asian place for soup and rice. They make everything fresh. I instantly felt warmer and the shakes went away.

I just listened to Jillian's latest podcast where she discusses the need to listen to our bodies when we are ill and just accept the fact that we must rest sometimes. She did not recommend pushing ourselves too soon. I am taking her advice. I'm letting myself rest for the next day or so. I am also taking the rest of her advice to eat really well, to feed yourself healthy food, to drink plenty of water, and to take my vitamins. I am even taking today off of work. I will be back at it tomorrow.

I also believe in resting when one is feeling out of sorts and find it helps speed recovery. Your new exercise DVDs sound great. The Asian soup and rice sounded good too.
