A new low! :)

Omgosh, I'm so happy. I lost two pounds this week. I am at 237- this means I lost the 14 pounds I gained over the holiday season last year, plus a pound more which beats my previous lowest weight. 15 pounds lost so far this year! I really wasn't expecting more than a pound loss this week because I've been under the weather and missed two workouts, but I stayed true to my meal and snack choices, implemented more fruits and veggies, and got my water.
It is so nice having realistic goals of a pound or two a week. I used to feel so defeated seeing those numbers because I had a warped view of the numbers I should be dropping. Now I feel in control and can relax. My goals are there to motivate me, not define me.
Since I reached my first real goal of the year to lose the weight I had regained and reach a new low, I have decided my next goal also will be to lose 15 pounds. =) I would like to reach my goal around the 4th of July. That will put me in the low 220s. But first I am looking forward to reaching 228 because it will mean I've lost 100 pounds. I'm so clooooose!
I hope everyone has a great weekend and a Happy Easter! Oh, that reminds me that I wanted to share a tip. Save those egg cups you use to dye Easter eggs. They measure 1 cup and are top rack dishwasher safe. I've used them year round for years now and I would be lost without them. lol. The fill line they have marks a half cup. So if something calls for a half cup of milk, I fill it to the line and then add it. And if it calls for 1/4 a cup I just fill it halfway to the line. It's nice if I want to measure a quick cup of cereal or something that I can grab an Easter cup instead of hunting down the measuring cup. I swear that thing is elusive in my kitchen. lol. Plus since they stack they don't take up much room and are easy to hide away in a cabinet or drawer. =)
Anyways, I'm gunna go do my c25k now. I loooove my new running shoes btw. So comfy and they really do help. So glad I got them!
