Baking Bliss

Last night I made a double batch of refrigerator dough. I used part whole wheat flour to sneak in a little of the good stuff. Today I filled some with chocolate and topped with same. Others I filled with strawberry preserves and put some in icing. The last batch were not filled but, I topped with yellow lemon icing. I also topped about half with darling little candy bunnies or sprinkles. I plan to put them in a cute Easter basket as part of the brunch I'm doing for daughter's family and us. But, the very best part of my fun baking is that I didn't eat even one cookie. I wasn't even tempted and that is a first for me, I think. Maybe awaking to another lost pound was the inspiration??? Another plus is that I cut the remaining dough into two and put in freezer. When my gd wants to bake we can already have the cookie dough ready to cut, bake and decorate. Now I'm on my way out to walk in this sunny, warm afternoon. Hope everyone is having a great day!
