Productive Day Off

I can't remember the last time I had a real day off that I could spend at home doing productive things in my pajamas! Considering I've only been up for less than four hours, I've already dusted, did the laundry, cleaned my room and the kitchen, and did all the dishes. I'm feeling pretty awesome right now, especially considering I could have been working myself silly at my second job right now. But no longer!

Ever since going back to only having one job, my mood and outlook on life has improved extremely! Haha and that's in spite of my diet going crazy in the wake of all this free time. The past three days, I'm sure I've gone over my maintenance calories - even though I've been doing my best to make healthier choices, I've been eating out way too much and not really keeping track of it. So, of course, I'm undoubtedly a pound or two over my Spark weight. I'm ready to fix that, though! As soon as the meat thaws, I'm going to make a gallon batch of my beef veggie stew, and I've still got some grilled chicken thighs and fixings for spinach salad. I've already roasted some sweet potatoes in light spread with cinnamon and brown sugar, yum yum! Hopefully that will get me through the rest of the week, because I spent pretty much all my grocery money eating out. :\

But despite having to cope with my return to extreme financial restriction, I'm happy! All of this second job business has reminded me of how I used to be in the past: Married, working as a slave to my (his) bank account, stressing about money, and being miserable. I saw it as necessity, that miserable life, and it's a relief knowing that I've learned and moved on from that. Poverty is one thing, but poorness is a state of mind.

Once I get situation and adjust to my smaller budget successfully, it's going to be time to look into a permanent fitness option. The only thing it seems that I can stand to do with any kind of consistency is swim, and it's finally getting to the time of year where I can do that. Of course that means finding a buddy that lives in a neighborhood/complex with a pool or buying a gym membership. Hopefully the possible options aren't too expensive.

Anywho, I've got the rest of my day to enjoy before it's back to work tomorrow! The notion of being able to watch a movie or read a book or draw is exciting! I can't remember the last time I was able to squeeze that kind of activity into my schedule! I hope everything is having a great week so far and doing amazing things!

    Those are my favorite kind of days off. Productive, yet also relaxing. It sounds like you've got a great plan for the rest of the week's meals! I'll have to try that soup sometime...I love using soup for lunch and pairing it with a wrap or a salad.
