Hello Sparkies!

It’s been over 30 days since I attempted to get back on track with my diet and workouts more consistently. I feel like I have made a lot of changes but not enough to see the scale move.. At all! I think that’s ridiculous. It makes me kinda sad really. This month I had a wedding to go to and several baby showers so all of these events made it a bit difficult to stay on my diet and even on my workouts at times.

I’ve heard a lot of great suggestions from some of you on how I can get back on track. One of them included doing the sparkcoach. Which I think is a great idea, it’s relatively affordable. Another option I had was doing crossfit which is something I was supposed to start at the beginning of this month but to make a long story short it never happened.

I rescheduled my self-assessment for crossfit and I had it yesterday. I didn’t do as well as I had hoped but I also think I didn’t do too bad. I mean I work out 5x a week so doing any worst would have just been embarrassing. The self-assessment included going over 6 of 9 movements that’s basically the foundation of many of the moves for crossfit and in one part of it they basically had me do a serious of 3 moves consecutively 4 times (10 sets for each exercise). I did it in 13 minutes and some change. The crossfit moves are so different than how I am use to working out and I realize really quickly that I would have to use a lot less weights than I do now, they seem to care a lot about getting in all the reps which includes doing up to 150 squats in a certain amount of time.

I don’t know if I am explaining myself right when talking about crossfit but I don’t know the terminology yet but you guys get the idea. Either way I am going to see if I sign up for it at the end of this week or next week. I’ll get this started and see if the change in workout helps me to start losing weight.

Thank you Joanna for all your advice, you definitely helped me through this past weekend’s baby shower. I think I will be texting you once again when I go to my next one. I have an in office baby shower next Wednesday and a birthday celebration that weekend AND then is my birthday emoticon
