Cold Water

Monday, March 25, 2013

Today when I went to my water aerobics’ class, the water was so cold that I did not want to stay. I thought if I just move around and did my warm ups the water would get warmer—the water was still cold. All I could think of was the hot shower that was waiting for me if I got out of the pool. I did not get out of the pool; I continued my warm ups and slowly the water started to get warm. Isn’t life like this? Just when we think we cannot go another day, we cannot do another exercise, we cannot eat another vegetable, something happens like the water gets warm or we remember ourselves before Spark People and we remember why we are on our journey. “Above all…guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.”(Pro. 4:23 NIV) emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

You speak the truth! Sometimes the water is really cold and we have to choose to endure. Sometimes we have to find another type of exercise to adapt and continue toward our goals or follow the Lord's prompting into a new direction. As long as my heart is beating, I am not going to worry about the rythum.
