Despite my grumps about more snow and the delayed arrival of
spring, I am actually feeling more "with it" this week. I had the weekend off and being snowed in actually afforded me an enforced day of rest. I was sleeping well last week, but was just worn out from 12 days straight of "get up & go".
Luckily, this snow was a bit different in that the ground wasn't so cold as the previous double dump, so when people drove through it, the bottom of the ruts just melted rather than becoming completely packed and encrusted. My car looked like it had a one-sided mohawk when I got to work, but that has all melted off now. And we are supposed to be at nearly normal temps (50s) by the end of the week.
I am happy with the 0.6# loss since I had 3 days of going way over last week on calories. But I am happy to report that yesterday was in bounds, with lots of freggies and healthy lean protein (thanks to hubby's warm pot of chicken chili on the stove all day). I also managed treadmill time and a Jillian workout, the latter with the "help" of my granddaughter, who was trying to bring me my weights, do squats, and lay on me during the crunches. She is 17 mos and so cute! (I am a bit prejudiced, I know). She just bounced with the music and squealed with joy a great deal. Maybe not the most effective workout of all time, but certainly a great deal of fun!
