My Apologies as a Team Leader
Saturday, March 23, 2013
I feel it very necessary to send out a public apology to my San Antonio Spark team. I've been very remiss for a while as one of your leaders...as the senior leader in terms of how long I've held the role.
My son is getting married 3 weeks from today. As the mother of the groom, this is not normally a terribly hectic and huge responsibility. In my case, being a surrogate mother to the bride to be, it has fallen to me for months now to not only be a big part of the planning, financing, and errand running, but also to do the online searching, shopping, and coordinating. I'm filling the role of mother, wedding planner, coordinator, and banker here. This has taken up a huge amount of my days, resources, and energy.
I promise you that it was not my intention to neglect the team, nor to become hit or miss in my responsibilities to you. Things will go back to normal after April 13th and you will get sick of seeing posts, emails, and huddles, and announcements of challenges and contests from me and the other leaders, I promise!
Until then, please stay the course and keep Sparking. Don't forget we have a picnic and meet up at Siclovia on April 7th. I'll manage the time to place another post about that on the team page next week, and on the team facebook page.
As for me, I'm still going gluten and sugar free and feeling a lot more energy from doing so. I'm still dropping pounds, though not as fast as in the first 3 weeks, but loss is loss and I am thrilled. I am not nearly as sore, stiff, crampy, or tired since adopting this life-style. I can't wait to see what the doctors blood work reveals in early June! I am hoping to find out I have beat the insulin resistance and my triglycerides are way down.
Again, I am sorry to both veteran and new members for my absence and lack of leadership lately. The She Beast will be roaring and in your face again soon. Promise. As always, I love you all!
