Nice day today. senior college was interesting. National Parks of the West.

Friday, March 22, 2013

DH had to be up early to go to the movies. I don’t do the movies but he enjoys them once he is there . Getting up early is not going down well for him. I keep him up late because I do a lot in the day and I still love to Spark in the evening. He has favorite things he watches and his walking buddy and himself talk about the mutual shows they watch in the evening.

His course starts at 8.30 am mine is 1.0 pm.
We do the National Parks of the West together. His classes have little time between them so today I took a thermos of leftover Beef stew that he loved and it stayed very hot, he enjoyed eating it in the cafeteria, I bought us 2 coffees and DH had choc chip cookies. He rarely eats them any more except as a treat these days.

I had a problem with my printer. It had a "SPOOLER" issue and I had the instructions but I just could not find them.
I had made a circuit training exercise sheet from an article yesterday on Spark. It was a full body workout. It looked like something I could do so I had tried to print it, I wanted to put it on the wall, the laptop is hard to watch from the floor so the posters work well in the basement.

I eventually found the article about my printer problem again on the internet and now it is printed and I followed the path to get to it and my printer is working again.

DH solution is we will buy a new one.

NO way I knew what was wrong and I knew I could fix it.

The exercises included Jump rope. I am not as limber as I was as a kid I kept stepping on the rope especially when it hit the ceiling so problem is solved. I could just do 100 jumping jacks instead. Or I can just imagine I have a jump rope that way I will not trip on it and waste time starting again.

I finished listening to my book on tape so now I will go to find another one at the library tomorrow. I only have VHS on the old TV in the basement and I do like working and picking up down there. I am trying to De-clutter down there and de-cluttering listening to stories instead of music makes a nice change of pace once in a while.

Now it is bed time and tomorrow we are going to a play with friends. We will all go together in our Mini- van it is about an hours drive. We are going to eat out as well, the others love to eat out. I am not a fan of other’s cooking but it is nice to sit and chat over food.

Pat in Maine.

PS the snow went out over the Atlantic----MISSED us today!!!

Woo Hoo!!

Glad that the snow missed you. We had a heavy snow pass through here yesterday but it stayed in the 40's so nothing stuck. It did bring a cold front with it so today is pretty chilly. Your classes sound interesting. Good luck with your decluttering. I need to do that in my office! Hope you have a great weekend!

I am happy to hear that you were able to get the printer fixed without it costing an arm and leg. Good going with that.

It is really good that the both of you are involved with things that you love. It is good to be able to do things away from home too with or without friends.

It is good that you were able to find the article that had the exercise in it. I like you adjusting it so that you can do it better without complications. Good thinking, Congratulations. It was also a very good idea to print it out so you could put it on the wall. Anything that can make our life easier is always great.

I like to listen to books while I am busy doing things too. It is a great way to do more than one thing at a time. There is so many of them out there too. Here best wishes with de-cluttering your basement. It is always so hard to choose what you want to keep and what you want to get rid of.

Hope you enjoy your time out with your friends. Hope you enjoy the play too. I can understand you not liking other's cooking, but spending time with friends is good.

Hope you have a great day. Enjoy the nice weather too.

    Love Dot

Pat, thank you for the workout post. Will copy it shortly. Going to get groceries and will have what I need for the gingerbread. Also seen a post for oatmeal with rosemary, syrup, and pepper. DH wants to try that. Good going on the work out, school, walking, and a big hug for everything. You're great. You're doing so good. Keep it up dear friend. HUGS, Terry

    That course sounds pretty intetresting---
-"Parents Passes"" atre available for a pilots parents---You only pay the tax--for instance----We paid $200 versus $2000--Amazing eh??--But--there are conditions----You are not given a seat unless there are empty seats on a plane----and you are given a seat on condition there aren't other patents going, with their son/daughter --with a higher priority than our son-------So you go to the gate and wait----You must have extra $$$ for a hotel-- in case you don't get out that day--But we have flown from Hawaii to Ontario on "'Standby"";-----It's called ""stand-by""--Anyway------I do hope yu get out west---We enjoyed staying with our daughter---short sweet visit-----Nice to be home thjo--*S*--Nice to chat with yu---Lynda emoticon

Sounds like a nice day! Glad you got the printer resolved. Although, I must say, I'm much more like your DH. I'm always ready to replace broken/non-working items. My hubby? Well, not so much! He can fix just about anything (certainly thinks he can, anyway! LOL) which has been a blessing and a curse over the years!!! Wonderful to save the money but disappointing to be using many "old" items!!!
