Even though I do not believe I will have to get bariatric surgery I am still getting all my ducks lined up in a row as a back up. Just in case I get stuck or get so discouraged I just can't take it. I can always not do it.

Last night I went to the Nutrition class. It just reaffirmed for me that it is just way to much work and concentration on nibbling and sipping liquids. I really do not believe that it is a way of life that I would be able to adjust to in the end. I have utmost respect and new admiration to those who's paths end up with bariatric surgery. It is not the easy path. It is the much harder path to do for sure!

I am still losing weight with the Vega shakes and eating more Vegan than not. I still have a burger (turkey of course), or some Pizza (veggie of course but with real cheese) or other items. I just make sure not to do it every day. Once a week or so seems fine with me. I've also been eating more raw foods. Nature makes its own package and that's a perfect package for me.

I have been eating my Hubby's cheese, Go Veggie, and I really love the Pepper Jack one. I can't wait to snitch some of the others. emoticon I am still going through the Thrive Forward lessons and having a great time with them. For me this seems to be the path that works for me.

I've been giving my pantry a make over to more vegan and healthier snacks for all of us. Raw Almonds, Dried fruits without sulfates, Chia Seeds, Cacao nibs, Hemp seeds. All sorts of things. I also have some recipes for energy bars that I'm going to make etc. It has sparked my motivation to do more cooking or at least instruct my daughter on what to do. I can't wait to make the Kale chips. They just sound fantastic to eat and so easy to make!

My daughter is loving it as well. On her own she has stopped drinking any soda when we go out to eat. Just from that she lost 10 pounds in a month! Now she is drinking the Vega shakes with me and eating more vegan as well. She can eat what she wants and is still losing weight. She is enjoying cooking the meals and is loving the tastes too. I make sure she gets enough Protein and Carbs as well.

My hubby is kind of reluctant to join in fully even though he should. He has Gout so really should be eating mostly vegan to avoid Gout attacks. He has recently had to be taken to the ER because of HBP and is now on BP meds. On the other hand when we cook our meals there is plenty for him and he always wants to eat it. lol He even ate the left over from the night before, Happily! The recipes are always for 4 so there is always one left over since there are only 3 in our family. :) Makes for an easy lunch or a quick meal for one person. I'm going to start encouraging him to take the left over for his lunches at work.

I get to go to my Neurosurgeon next week Tuesday. I can't wait to see what he says! I also can't wait to get under 199! Then my surgery will be soon. One day at a time.
