Hello Spring Break I Love You So Much

Friday, March 22, 2013

Although my relationship with Spring Break is only 4 hours and 21 minutes old, we are already in love. This break I'll be doing the major spring cleaning thing. Last year I did a major painting project and had the apartment cleaned. I want to empty the closets, move the furniture around, scrub everything, get rid of stuff, donate stuff and put it all back together smelling lemony fresh and beautiful. I cannot wait for open window weather. I love the fresh air being pulled through here all day.

Over break I will attend my Yoga classes, work out, eat great, and get out on the bike if it stops freezing. Cold start to Spring here in New York. It should be in the 50's now and we're getting weather in the 30's instead. The weather has been uncooperative for comet watching here so I'll just have to wait for the next amazing even to come around. I think after cleaning the house, I'll have the new Kitchen Aid mixer and I'll do a new cupcake invention. I wanted to do the strawberry one and practice the piping techniques. I'm not going to get better unless I practice. I have to get another muffin pan.

I had my weekly check in with the principal today and I told her my wish of staying with the special ed kids until I can get them to pass the regents and finish their science credits. She said she'd like to make that happen to and we'll talk about it more after break. One thing I will do if I'm kept is change my work wardrobe again. I have to fix it up like it used to be. I actually don't know what happened to all my blazers that I don't have anymore. I will give my work wardrobe a make over for September. Especially since I'll be at an amazing weight then. I really hope we can discuss me staying on permanently. I need this more than you can imagine, especially coming after the proper diagnosis and treatment for me being sick. I'd like to show them these last months flawless attendance. Only 60 days now to make that commute and I know how to not get sick now. That's going to be the key, my consistency and my ability with our most special needs students. I'm not certified special ed, I have the science certifications, somehow I've been successful with them. What I like about our talks is that she makes good suggestions and then on her next visit you'd better have incorporated them somehow. She hasn't had any critiques yet so that's a good sign. I like to be told to try something new, I get scared when they come after what I'm doing.

I may head to bed soon. I'm meeting my parents for a family breakfast and then we're driving around in their new car. They got a beautiful bright red Honda Fit and so far they love it. Something to think about saving money for. I've been keeping on with saving money so it might not be so out of reach after I get whatever I can for my current car. Pay off debt, keep my credit score high and save money. Good plan, and then I can buy a new car in a year or so. Mine still runs great for what I need it to do. Horaay break!
