Boring turned good yesterday - nerves for tomorrow!

Friday, March 22, 2013

I didn’t get to blog yesterday. I had a VERY boring day at work with absolutely nothing to report. I was trying to come up with something cute but being slightly brains dead yesterday – cute wasn’t coming.

Then my buddy EvilCherub text-ed me. “Are we still going to Ladies Night?” Oh yeah – Fleet Feet by us was having a ladies night. She needed shoes and we thought we’d make a night of it. We had a blast, she got a great walking shoe, we had pineapple/mango smoothies, looked at summer gear (did I mention there were flurries outside), and finally we both got chair massages! OMG – that felt GOOOODDD!!!

Then we did a healthy dinner, I had eggs and grits due to the tooth problem and she did a grilled chicken salad. We ended up chatting away like to teens. It was really nice.

I got home and figured my steps were shot for the day. I mean, we wandered around the store but nothing MAJOR. I was at 8,500 – ok I’m NOT missing my 10,000 by under a mile. Hubby was already changed for the evening and relaxing. No problem, let’s go girls. Both dogs on hand leashes and no harnesses (I figured we were doing less than a mile). We ended up doing just over 2. They were having too much fun for me to take them straight home.

I got it and it was 10:30 – so this little black duck packed herself off to nigh-nigh-land. 4:45 comes early and it was after 11 before I actually climbed in bed. Hubby decided my Friday morning run wasn’t as important as some extra sleep. He re-set the alarm for 5:30 this am. I couldn’t get mad, 6 hours just isn’t enough for me anymore. So I ended up with almost 7. I’m a bit tired but not as bad as I should be.

Hubby has his first “real” gig tomorrow night doing stand up! I so hope it goes well. There will be a troop there with open spots for new individuals. He has always wanted to get into entertainment and they liked him enough to offer him a spot tomorrow night. Now it is up to delivery and the audience! I’m nervous for him.

Warm Wags!
