2 forward, 1/2 back

Friday, March 22, 2013

I weighed myself yesterday and found that I gained .04 more. Okay, that's not bad considering my nutrition choices hadn't been all that great the past 2 weeks. So I'm good with it. Not that I'm eating a LOT of junk but I have been snacking on some not so nutritious things. Someone mentioned a favorite snack and it got me thinking about Scoops with melted cheese and salsa dip, so you know what happens next.

I have been eating a nutritious breakfast though, thanks to Ladyrose and our mini daily challenge on the Crochet the Pounds Away team. I never was a breakfast eater even though I know it's important. Thank you Cindi! :)

My fitness has been okay, yep, just okay. I know I should be doing more, but I just don't have it in me right now. I know I'll get it back and it's not that I'm not doing anything. I'm working out each day, but not as much as I use to. Could be since I'm getting older I'm slowing down more.

Thanks for sticking with me! HUGS!

I have come to think of taking a step backward in a new way. Just because you take a step backwards doesn't mean you turned around and are now facing the wrong way. It simply means you took a step backward. You are still facing forward. lol .. Maybe its just a mind game I play, but it works for me.
We have to realize that we are never going to be perfect. We are human...but we have been given an intelligent mind, and we are capable of learning. So, we have to just keep on pushing forward.
I know what you mean about slowing down as we age. As I was cleaning the other day I got really agitated that my body just will NOT do what it used to lol. I used to spring/fall clean an entire room from top to bottom in just one day. It now takes me a week LOL. So again, I resort to mind games and tell myself.... I'm not just slower, I am more thorough LOL.
Hang in there .... you're doing great! emoticon
