Brussel sprouts

I made roasted brussel sprouts tonight and was amazed how good they were. I have only ever had them steamed before. I will never go back to steamed. Wow, they are so good this way. Just cook one piece of bacon, chop it up fine. Cut the sprouts in half or quarters, depending on how big they are. Drizzle a little olive oil on the sprouts. Add salt, pepper and a tsp minced garlic to the sprouts and mix til coated. Roast in a 400 degree oven for about 15 to 20 minutes. Yum!

    I most always saute mine in a skillet too, with olive oil and bacon and sometimes a little chopped onion. They've always been one of my favorite veggies and actually a family favorite, my kids even liked them.

    My husband has bad memories of over cooked mushy sprouts growing up, but he loves mine! I cut mine in half, season with basil, oregano, thyme and salt, and toss with olive oil. I bake in an oven until the leaves are a little crispy.

    Spouts are a superfood!

    I think I could love on nothing but Brussel Sprouts! I like mine sauteed in olive oil, getting a nice, brown scald to them.

    then I combine with whatever protein is in the fridge, chicken , steak, shrimp. Add some pico de gallo, or lemon, salt & pepper, maybe even some ginger....the possibilities are endless!

    Mmm, I love roasted brussels sprouts. If you ever want to fancy it up, try a few strips of turkey bacon, fresh brussels sprouts (halved), almond slivers and dried cranberries. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. When done, toss with some feta cheese. Absolutely fabulous and super fancy to serve with dinner

    I love roasted brussel sprouts! I love brussel sprouts anyway they are cooked but roasting them makes them taste so much better.

    Love brussell sprouts. They are my go to snack for the evening. I've never roasted them though, just steamed. I'll have to try your way.
