Hey spark friends! I miss all of you! Life has been so very very busy but I wouldn't change a thing except for maybe adding a couple more hours in the day :)
So let me catch you up to date with me. I have officially lost 210lbs as of March 13th! As some of you know I won a make over through a local salon so I totally changed up my hair...I figured go all out! Here is my make over pic....I had to pick a celebrity hairstyle I wanted put a pic of myself next to it and post it to the salon page on fb at the end of the month they had a drawing out of all the participants and i was picked. so here is the pic I shared with them along with my after pic!
heres a couple more....
And here is my full body shot 210lbs gone
can't believe I am here when I use to be there....
I know if i can do this come this far so can anyone else! Believe in you! Its not easy but its worth it....I can not express to you how much your health is worth it and just the joy of really living life and not sitting on the sidelines feels like...its INCREDIBLE!!!!
Now onto the STRIP RUN!
Last week we went to visit my inlaws. Just a couple days before we were leaving my MIL called me to tell me about a 5k race in her town and wanted to know if I wanted to do it. At first I said SURE as long as someone else would run it with me....no one was really interested and then I decided why do I need someone to run it with me I'm gonna do this! (One thing huge that has changed in me I use to never do anything on my own and now I have the confidence to just go out and get it done and I love that!) So Saturday morning March 16th at 7:30am I ran The Strip Run 5k! You are probably wondering what in the world is a strip run. Well this was a fun run and what you did was wear layers of clothes on top of your running clothes that you "strip" and donate at donation stations(bins) throughout the race! So here are pics of prerace and post race you can see all my donation layers...there were piles and piles of clothes being donated it was very very cool. My race ending time was 33minutes 25 seconds...I didn't think that was too bad especially for pausing to "strip" along the way!

my stripping gear...lol

getting ready to line up and start running
not sure if you can tell in this pic but this was the start of the race they told us to strip our first item to donate and I'm twirling it around like a crazy person...lol
just a few strides from the finish line
came in at 33 minutes 25 seconds
sporting my shades and scarf I recieved for racing!

first race of 2013 done and looking forward to many more.
Now that I have lost 210lbs I have set a new goal of 220lbs lost so looks like 10 more lbs to lose and I think I will be at maintenance...we will see when I get there but I'm pretty sure thats right about where I will be maintaining and trying to get in under 25% body fat percentage!
Remember you can do anything!!! Never give up on you!
Hope you all are doing fantastic! Make this spring super so you can have an AWESOME summer!!!!
