Day One (April 24, 2007)

Tuesday, April 24, 2007

Well, this is my first day on SparkPeople. I found it by watching a video on You Tube. Excellent site. I've been trying weight watchers until now and that was alright, but I think I'll give this a try. There is a lot more information available on this site: especially about nutrition and vitamins. Although the foods are very hard to search. We'll give it a go anyway right?

Just setting up my account. More tomorrow. Going to check out the community groups now.

I started on April 24 as well. So i am going on 3 days and i am feeling good so far. I think my biggest problem is eating late. I am a waitress at a WONDERFul seafood restuarant and just want to eat their food when i get off of work. But i have yet to do that, so i am using self control. I keep this site in the back of my mind alot and try to think positively because i have been so negative lately about my weight and how i feel about myself.
I think by joining SP is the first step to my goal.
Thanks for your blog because i made a connection to it because you joined the same day i did!

Welcome to the spark team. Some foods you have to edit in yourself, after you are done, you can check it to save to favorites. If you need more advice on food intake, I have a couple of websites of interest, that were given by another sparker.

    Stay encouraged.

Today is my first day, too. I agree that the foods are somewhat hard to search, and the site is still a bit confusing to me - although I work on computers everyday. I have been fighting the 'battle of the bulge" for so many years and have tried many times to diet - mostly unsuccessfully. I'm a widow on a fixed income so weight watchers becomes a bit expensive. This program shows great promise. Good luck to you, Echosprings, and I hope to hear from you.
