You Had Better Be Running

Not really sure where the urge to blog almost every day is coming from, but sure, why not! The BF stayed home from work today and did all sorts of cleaning for me so I have some extra time this evening. How spectacular is that?
I did get up for my strength class this morning and my foot does feel a little better. On the way home, I even stopped at the gym for 30 minutes on the elliptical. I'm kind of unstoppable today.
Body image is a funny thing, that you probably shouldn't pay much attention to. Yesterday, I felt fat and all I could see when I sat down (which was most of the night) were my thunder thighs and my protruding tummy. I didn't get in a work out at all yesterday. Today, I woke up at 5:30, got in two workouts and good meals and every time that I walk past a mirror, I can see all the progress I've made.
Did anything actually change overnight in my weight, my body composition? No, just the way I personally viewed my body. So on the days when the mirror hates you and you're sure you've gained ten pounds in a 24 hours, stop and tell yourself that body image is all in your head. People will see what you want to show them. Show them that you're making healthy choices and it's ok to have good days AND bad because you're going to bounce back and kick ass the next day!
