Creating a healthy lifestyle is all about asking yourself what if?

What if I started exercising in 10 minute chunks throughout the day rather than one big sweat session?

I asked myself that quite a while ago, tried it & liked it. It feels easier in many ways, but it all adds up over time.

What if I began experimenting with paleo?

I would find a lot of new recipes I really enjoy. I would look more toned. I would actually start eating even more veggies than I was eating before, a very surprising benefit! But gluten doesn't give me problems so if I want some pasta or bread occasionally, I have it.

What if I had no carbs at dinner outside of veggies?

At first I only did this when I also had some sort of dessert -- but I surprised myself with occasionally skipping the desserts AND the starch.

What if I tried the 21 Day Sugar Detox?

I love sweets. I love to bake. I haven't followed it completely - I still eat berries, I use a small amount of sweetened almond butter, I still have stevia in my tea. But I definitely reduced my sugar intake. And cravings.

But I wasn't giving up the small amount of chocolate I eat, no siree bob.

What if I stopped eating my chocolate supplements?

Suddenly this past week, I stopped eating almost all chocolate. I have 2 small chocolates after dinner most days - one is a calcium supplement, the other a multivatimin.

Gone. Yes, I could actually survive without them. I'll have some dark chocolate chips in my oatmeal this weekend - all 1 tbsp of it! Actually, by that time I think I'll be done with the detox. But it's something you can return to again & again.

It's amazing how asking yourself one little question can start the ball rolling.
