Got on the scale and hate MYself.

Got on the scale this morning and got a rude awakening gained like 6 pounds in a month, and it is just too much soda. I have to get control of this. Maybe when I get my house cleaned this weekend with a help of a friend I can get over the hurdle and start to care again. Going to get cold again so walking will have to be put off for some more days. I have to start making myself a priority instead of my dad which is tough since he is so sick and I am is care giver too. I am going to get of this pitty party and start to talk positive to myself and hope that works.

    By taking better care of yourself, you can take better care of your dad. I think he would understand that. Maybe you could invest in a treadmill or some workout DVDs so you could walk and workout without having to leave the house. Also, see if any other family members or friends would be willing to help with your dad so that you can give yourself a little bit of a break every so often. Don't be too tough on yourself. Every day is another opportunity to get back on your fitness routine and the very next snack or meal you consume is your next chance to eat with your best health in mind. Celebrate and be proud of what you've accomplished so far. emoticon

    I understand your frustration. I too have had...and still battle with...my self proclaimed addiction to sodas!! UGH! When I made the decision to seriously start losing weight, sodas was the first thing to go. I would drink like 3 per day...sometimes 4 :( I KNEW it would be hard to let go of my legal "crack"...but I am really trying...YOU CAN DO IT! Now, I only drink about 1 soda per month and the rest is H2O! I believe this has been the biggest hurdle, yet greatest victory of my weight loss journey :) KEEP PUSHING!
