My take on quitting

"As long as I'm having fun, I'm not quitting". Sue Johanson

This is so true for me! This is why these past 8 months have been so hard. Without being able to play soccer, losing and or maintaining my weight loss is just plain HARD! But I have done pretty well considering and for that I am proud. I have Sparkpeople to thank for this too! And most of all my Spark Peeps!!! Without you, I doubt I would have been able to maintain my loss thru all of this.

Today I talked to a spark friend, we have both been a little disconnected from Spark, checking in now and then. I am reminded of how helpful it is to be active here! I have not forgotten, just need to be reminded now and then that this is a 'Journey' and that there is no right or wrong way to go, just to enjoy the ride, have fun, be true to myself and all will be right.

I hope that your journey keeps you engaged in some way. For me, it is essential that I stay connected here. Find what works for you and keep doing it!

Peace out, gotta go watch the BL Finale!!!

I'm glad you are connecting. I like you. I enjoy your posts. You keep me honest and I need to hear about your maintenance journey. It gives me hope. I don't think I'll ever reach maintenance, but a girl can dream!

emoticon You're doing a great job! And if you ever need to vent, you have us, your Spark friends, to keep you on the straight and narrow :)

Thanks for sharing the quote, "As long as I'm having fun, I'm not quitting". Sue Johanson. This rings true for me as well. I've always loved to be physically active, but it needs to be within the parameters of what I love doing, such as dancing, badminton, racquetball, etc.

Hope you'll be able to get back into soccer soon. Looking forward to your updates emoticon

Look! I'm connecting! I'm so glad you are on this journey with me, girl...

I'm about to run off to class, but I'm tracking again and climbing those stairs. What are you going to do today? Run another 4 miles and shame me??? I DARE you!!!

    Hugs from me to you!

I'm a lifer! I know that. I can't do this on my own and the people in my "physical" life are enablers. Love Spark, Love my Peeps, and so appreciate the emoticon in the arse!

I'm looking forward to hearing about your return to soccer. I always find some inspiration here. Thanks.

It does seem to help to keep connected to like minded people who are having the same struggle.

Well done on maintaining through injuries!

Struggling not to quit even though you're not having fun and despite of all the difficulties can be really hard and you should be proud of yourself for still being here. I believe that being active in the SP community is one of the secrets of success.
So, let's keep on Sparking and spreading the Spark!
