the road to recovery after OHS

Monday, March 18, 2013

my dad recently had open heart surgery.he had 5 bypasses.he is doing good though but with his diabieties it is slowing his recovering abit as he is having some small issues that the dr said it is usually the diabetics that do arithmea, hopefully he gets out tomorrow.i havent had time to be on here or to count my food or even do my wii fit.I am exhausted between him and my kids and trying to clean, cook.and when he comes home i will be with him during the it may be a few weeks before i get back in my normal routine.this has gave me the up most respect for people are taking care of a sick parent while still taking care of there truly leaves you exhausted. and grouchy lol.but i wouldnt have it any other way. I lost my mom at a young age and regret i dint do more for her so i wont make that mistake twice.besides its only a few weeks and things will start getting back to normal.then someday my dad will owe me bigtime lol he is 54 btw so still young to have this surgey but he doesnt take care of himself like he should so this was an eye opener to both of us.good luck to all of you with your weight loss

You're a wonderful, devoted daughter... I hope your dad makes a smooth, steady recovery and that the arrhythmia will soon either disappear or be medically taken care of. Stay strong; it's such a difficult time, when a parent is recovering from surgery and we're helping out. I wish you lots of strength right now. emoticon
