Trying something different

I have been a sparker for several years now, loosing 29 pounds. Right now my main goal is to get under 200... I have 18 pounds to shave off in doing so. I seem to loose and gain back the same 5 pounds!!! So obviously something needs to change! So here is my promise to myself...

I will eat within my calorie guidelines ( I usually stay under... I know really?)
I will try to up my protein consumption (this seems to be difficult in the past)
I will drink at least glasses of water per day
I will hide the scale until I feel a difference in my clothes (too discouraging)
I will take my measurements tonite (it has been awhile)

Mondays - Yoga
Tuesdays & Thursday: walk/ run intervals
Wednesdays- Rest
Fridays- Strength training
Saturday or Sunday.... Incorporate some kind of physical activity... ie; gardening, long walk, heavy housework or video

I have been making positive changes to my lifestyle. we eat heathier than we used to. I have included exercise as well into my lifestyle, so much so, that I miss it if I dont do it. I love the way it makes me feel! I just need to break this plateau... !!! Wish me luck!!

    Great way to re-evaluate and set some guidelines! I've been losing and gaining the same 12 pounds for some time now, and I find that I have to sit back and reflect on a regular basis in order to inch my way to my long-term weight goal (i.e., 125 lbs).

    You can do it! Stick with your plan and keep the calorie burn higher than the calories in.

    I agree... I think I have been eating too few calories. This will be the biggest change. Thank you both!! Mamishel.... you can do this!!! :) Thank you both for your helpful words and support.

    Sounds like you have a great plan!! My only suggestion is maybe you should not be eating UNDER your calorie allowance. They give you those calories for a reason and if you are spreading them out with all the foods groups there is no reason you should't be consuming all of your calories especially if you are exercising too!! You may find that will trigger your weight loss a little.... hope so. Good luck and keep sparking!!

    I'm also trying to make it below 200 for one of my goals, and finally 180 or less. I have been bouncing between 201-205. Like you, I know where I fall short. I go over calories, I go over SODIUM (water retention!) for a couple of days - usually weekends - Very frustrating. BUT - we know what to do, and Spark is here to help. I know you'll accomplish your goals! Blessings to you on this journey to a healthy lifestyle.
