Planning maintenance

Goal reached !

50kg .... 1 week later .... 49.6 kg.......1 week later .....49kg
I am only 1.52 cm so my bmi is in the HEALTHY range. Amen !

Maintaining is a scary thing when you have never had to do it before.
Last time I DIETed but did not have a LIFESTYLE change.

My calorie intake was too low and I exercise a lot. Only 980 cal on work out days. SO time to get it under control because the reason for this was to be HEALTHY.

    It's great that you have stepped away from the "diet" word. That was one of the biggest changes I made this time around too--and now I've maintained for a year! People will still throw the diet word at you from time to time--that's been my experience anyway. I grit my teeth a little each time I hear someone ask me, "so--are you still on your diet?"

    Good for you having a healthy BMI. Yes, maintenance is scary at first. I needed to make healthy eating a habit. Keep eating what you ate when you lost, and just add some extra calories or carbs. You can do it.

    emoticon I think Maintenance is Scary as well as Hard, because so many of us have NEVER Done it before. We are Old Pros at "Dieting" but with SparkPeople & Spark Friends to help us, we CAN Do This!!

    Great job on reaching maintenance. It is scary at first but you get used to it. Have you joined the At Goal and Maintenance team. It is very helpful. There is a line there with many great articles.

    I have maintained for a year and a half. You can do it. You are so right about changing your lifestyle.

    Please, please please keep posting on how you are entering and sustaining maintenance. I hope to learn through your experiences. I have lost hundreds of pounds over several attempts but have never been able to maintain.
