Update 3/17/2013

Sunday, March 17, 2013

I haven't been writing weekly updates lately. I need to. They help to keep me accountable. So, here I go. I am switching to Sunday as my weigh-in day, but since I just weighed in a couple of days ago, I will use those numbers.

I made a goal & reward list not too long ago, and wrote a blog entry about it. I am making a change, as I am in dire need of a haircut! It is just driving me nuts, and if I wait until I am down 8 pounds, I will probably freak out. So, here is my updated list, just putting rewards in a slightly different order.

159.9 - highlights & hair cut
154.9 - new pair of shoes (fun, not workout)
149.9 - new workout outfit (top, pants, bra)
145 - whole new outfit

SLEEP: I am struggling with this again. I have let my bedtime routine fall to the wayside. It's a bummer, because when I was doing it, I was sleeping great and waking up feeling ready to go. Lately I have been sleeping terribly, up 4+ times a night, and sluggish in the morning. So, starting tonight, I am back to it. In bed by 10pm, read to 11pm and lights out. I need my sleep!

FOOD: Honestly, I feel like I have been doing really well in this category. There is always room for improvement, but I have been in my calorie range consistently for about two weeks. I need to focus, again, on my more detailed numbers. This week, I will focus on my carbs... with my PCOS, this is especially important, so I will begin working on lowering my carb intake a little at a time. This week my goal is to be below 175 every day.

WATER: 10+ cups a day. Still going strong here.

EXERCISE: Back to it. I was struggling to get back into a routine, and now that I am, I can tell that I wasn't working as hard. So, this week's goal is to stick to my plan... 5 days of cardio (4 - 60 minute Zumba classes and 1 - 30 minute elliptical training). When these become second nature, I will add in a strength routine.

SODA: 81 days free! Working towards a goal of 365 days soda free.

WEIGHT: I am not losing at the rate I would like. I know a lot of this has to do with medication I am on, which is known for causing weight gain. So, I will keep pushing myself to continue to lose, even when things are working against me.

3/17/13: 162.5
2/14/13: 164.0
2/7/13: 165.2

I made it through all of the visitors, at least for now, no one is scheduled to come down anytime soon, so I will be focused on working toward a healthier & happier me.

Enjoy your Sunday & have a great week!
