Another update

Friday, March 15, 2013

This is Bob again.

Ev was doing better, but then seemed to have stopped. Her eyes seem to be what bother her most. The doctor says sometimes these symptoms can last a month or two and that we shouldn't be concerned unless instead of staying the same, it gets worse. She isn't very talkative, but when she is it seems she goes on forever. One thing that bothers her is she isn't able to take care of her teams. I told her that was silly that all of you would understand. She also has some mail to answer. I told her the same with that. I do the best I can for her I wish it could be more. She loves everyone leaving responses and me reading them to her. Thank you for keeping both of us in prayer. She is happy we have a new pope in time for Easter week.

Ev, remember you must first take care of yourself in order to be able to help others. Your teams and sparkfriends will hang in there while you take care of yourself. When you're doing better then you'll be better able to help others again. Besides, we're all worried about you!

Thanks for the update. I know but two things about concussions--(1)they usually heal completely (2) until they do they demand your total R-E-S-P-E-C-T. So rest, relax, heal because it takes what it takes. Besides, you already know that the song "I get knocked down, but I get up again" was written about you.

I'm still praying for you Ev; take all the time you need to get well! emoticon

Thanks for the update. Tell Ev to concentrate on healing and remember worry is like the rocking chair, it gives you something to do but gets you no where. We all know when she is able she will be back online, but her health is the most important thing at this time. emoticon emoticon

Perhaps being a little rambunctious is good for the soul and to allow healing to take place. Ev, know that your friends and teams will wait patiently, while you get better. You're so fortunate to have such a beautiful loved one speaking for you online so we're kept up to date. Like having a will, I should probably have a few instructions put together for my online community should something happen to me.

Thank you for the update Bob. I've been hoping for one. Keeping her in my prayers. I am not Catholic, but I am happy for all those who are. I have very strong beliefs myself and most are the same as the Catholics. I don't believe in abortion, euthanasia, pre-marital sex, etc. I heard - of all places - Rush Limbaugh - defending the pope (he's not Catholic either) and the church for not changing their beliefs to "suit" modern thinking. I SOOOO agree. The church is there to lead against immoral behavior, not bend to it. Good for the Pope and for the church. I applaud it's and his stand. I wish there were more of it in this dreadful world we live in.
Well, I've certainly gotten off topic here! LOL. Please give Ev my best wishes and some hugs, even tho she doesn't know me. :) Hugs are always good when they are meant. Hugs to you too for being such a caring hubby.

One day at a time, don't push yourselves (either of you). Take it slow and really recover. OUr thoughts are with you.

Hi Bob! Please tell her this is a time of healing and that when she is back online, she can write a thank you blog and go from there (in other words, not try to catch up). People DO understand since all of us have had our slow and healing times too. emoticon emoticon Love, Chelsea

Thanks Bob for helping keep us posted on Ev's condition. Concussions are no fun - I had a serious one back in 2006. It really knocked me out in left field. Concussions are a serious matter and tell her to go easy for a while. I know she's stubborn like me and wants to keep up. Ev, I had and still have serious memory lapses. I had to re-learn how to spell words. I still have trouble coordinating what my brain sees to what my body does. It happens - you can't rush the healing. Take care of yourself. Keeping y'all in my thoughts and prayers. Sending you love & hugs,

Thanks Bob for the update! Hope she gets better soon! Being a tried and true Spark fan as she is, it is hard not to want to keep up with things, like our streaks, teams and emails! We hate to get behind, but sometimes it has to be for our health's sake. Yes, we all understand if she can't keep up-just tell her to concentrate on rest and recovery. We don't want her to get worse! And computer work is the worst for your eyes and any kind of head aches or injuries!
Bob you are a gem and an honorary Sparker! My husband would do the same for me if I needed it done, if I were sick...he knows SP about as much as I do without being a member. Ev and I both have keeper husbands (my husband is Bob too)! Hang in there! emoticon emoticon
