Amazing Bike Ride

Friday, March 15, 2013

Just got back from an amazing bike ride. The schedule called for a 20 miler. I have a couple of 20 mile routes I ride a lot, but 20 wasn't going to do.

The weather has been awesome for the last few days. I took another short ride that wasn't on the schedule. Looking outside, I decided to do 30 miles instead. As I took off, the legs were feeling good. So, I decided to push it a little. I averaged over 20 MPH for the first 25 miles. That's faster than I usually ride. The last 5 has more hills, and I wanted to cool down good.

Anyway, I'm really liking this Spring weather!

I wanted to do that ride last year, but couldn't fit it in my budget. I wish I could have. I had my bike ready and everything. If only..

Are you planning on doing it again this year?

I might be able to do it. My kids would love it.

I have done the Antelope by Midnight bike ride. As the name suggests, it's at night. The ride starts at 10pm. A friend of mine works for a sponsor. Last year they had a few extra registrations. He invited me at the last minute. We rode it with a few of his kids. It was a fun, casual ride!

It's July 19th this year. If you look at the calendar on Davis County's website, you'll find it there. Here's a link to the event on their calendar.
