I really need to build up this momentum and keep it going. Y'know, that whole hullabaloo that may actually be true about "Active bodies stay active, bodies at rest stay at rest."

For the first time since Christmas, I attempted a run. That's nearly 3 months where I have been essentially just working and sleeping and hardly doing any physical activity outside of that. This is why walking around NYC for hours a day when we went on vacation there had me so damn tired. Because I haven't been keeping any sort of exercise routine going.

Why? Because my hip and back were being wicked painful. 90% of that seems to be completely resolved now, thank God. So I decided that I would go out today and do something physical. Of course, the weather was much nicer yesterday but yesterday I was being intensely lazy.

I knew I wanted to go at least 1 mile, so I set the Nike+Ipod/Iphone to 2 miles because, why not? I used to be able to hammer out 3 miles or more without stopping, why not go for 2?

Wow. I never knew what 3 months of inactivity could do. It never really hit me that I would have to build back up to doing 2 miles without stopping, regardless of if i'm still finishing getting a head cold out of my system. I've got to stop taken my relative youth for granted and start getting out there and doing more activity.

If you are more active, you will be more active (FYI I like time runs instead of distance)
