My nutrition

Friday, March 15, 2013

I saw the category "my nutrition" at the top of my sp. Daily it is important to get the nutrients, water, etc. our bodies need to function healthily. Recently I was reminded once again of the importance of feeding myself spiritually. Time with God and in His Word is not an option - it is a necessity if I want to stay strong and healthy. Having had company, I got out of the routine of morning time spent with God and for the past several days, I was cranky and depressed. If I don't eat, I am not surprised when I end up with a headache or feeling "shaky." It should not come as a surprise that when I don't eat spiritually, I have negative results (along with those around me as I become "weak and weary."). Thank God He is always available, His line is never busy, and He so patiently waits and welcomes me back anytime.

I am always surprised at how easy it is for me to slack off on my time with God. I am so grateful that He doesn't slack off his time with me!

Glad you noticed and are taking corrective measures.

There's a verse in the New Testament about exercising our spiritual muscles AND giving them the nourishment they need.

I notice that I get cranky when I get out of my routine of my visits with God too.
