Wednesday, March 12th, 2013--Almost spring, and 6 weeks out...

Wednesday, March 13, 2013

Ooh, SPRING!!! Yep, next Wednesday is the first day of spring, and let me tell you, I am SO DONE with winter!!! I've had it with snow, and I want warm, I want sun, I want little singing birdies outside my window in the morning and the happy little spring peeper frogs in the creek behind my house. And you know why I want spring...because that means that summer is just around the corner, and that means beach, and bikini, and ocean...oh, but that's another blog...I just NEED SPRING!!

Now, for the other comment...the 6 weeks out. Some of you may be saying "Six weeks out from what??" Well, I'm six weeks out from my first (and hopefully not my last) Figure Competition. I'm going to compete in the Ohio Natural Bodybuilding Federation competition on April 27th. Why this comp? Well, first, and perhaps most important is its in my backyard (well almost). Second most important is that it is a Natural competition. The list of banned substances is as long as my arm, and we have to take a polygraph as well as get drug tested to compete. That makes me feel better that I'm not going to be competing against someone half my age and all juiced up. Granted, I'm not trying to win, I'm just doing this to prove to my trainees that age doesn't matter, medical issues don't matter, you can do anything as long as you are willing to put your mind to it and work hard! I will try to get my progress photos posted and hopefully photos from competition too. It's been a challenging experience, but fulfilling at the same time. Wish me luck!
