Clean Up in the Jeans isle!!!

Monday, March 11, 2013

One would think after losing 35 lbs it would be easier to shop for jeans...Well it's not I am so very frustrated I swear nothing I own fits right emoticon Went shopping and nothing I tried on fits right emoticon What is the freaken deal?? I guess I am in between sizes and just losing the weight in all the wrong places lol emoticon Plus the fact that I don't want to spend too much on clothes since I'm not "done" losing weight. I know it may seem really shallow but this whole clothes business is really messing with my head. Maybe I should just wear pj's and yoga pants forever emoticon

I feel the same way! I think I can hold on to mine a little longer before I HAVE to shop. I'm not a big shopper anyway, so I feel your pain! emoticon

I hope you find a pair that fits. It's so important to look your best and feel good in order to continue losing weight. Good self esteem is vital to success, in my opinion. And if you don't find jeans, maybe a casual skirt will do the trick.

there are probably a million different fits and sizes. I recommend a nice resale shop that will have different fits, sizes and brands then when you find one you like, you will know where to go....oh just thought about it, I think there is a virtual fitting room that lets you put in your measurements and tells you what size and fit to get. I forget the name :(

Jeans are so hard to find the right size. Whenever I gain a couple of pounds they are either too big or too small. Yoga pants are great. I agree with the others that the Thrift store is where to go. They have a place called Plato's closet which is a like a thrift store only it caters to teens. If you have anywhere like that try that store. They always have a ton of jeans. Good luck.

this is when I hit the thrift stores! Then I don't feel too bad about spending too much money on pants I'm only going to wear for a little while! :-)

Yep, I have one pair that fits fairly nicely, and the rest are either too big and baggy or too small. It is very frustrating! All I can think of is to just keep trying different stores/brands/fits. Good luck!

Yoga pants rock. I really only three pair of pants that fit right now. I actually gained so I had to break down and buy a few things. One thing that has made shopping less painful is to hit the resale shops. Sometimes I have great luck, others not so much, but I'd rather spend $6-12 on pair of pants I am not wearing long! Good luck, you are doing amazing! Your body is changing and you are worth the effort! emoticon

I think yoga pants would be great to wear forever!! I understand your pain! I am wearing size 8 pants when I'm really a 4/6, but the 4's that I bought are just a SMIDGE too small, so I'm waiting until I can fit into those comfortably to buy anything else! Until then I look like a melting snowman............ lol!

I hear ya! I have one pair of "good" jeans left and like you don't want to spend the money until I'm a little closer to my goal. I've never liked trying on clothes but when you are not sure your size anymore it stinks even worse.
