First 10K - DONE!

Yesterday I ran my first 10K. It was part of the training series for the Indy Mini that I will be running in May. I completed it in 1:20:08, which was just the time I thought I would complete it in. It was a lot of fun, and I got to go shopping for a proper sports bra for running and groceries. Sports bra shopping did not go as well as I hoped since they didn't have the size I wanted to try on, but I realized I need to get a different size bra than I currently have, which is good.

I need to be better at nutrition. That use to be the area that I rocked, but lately it hasn't been. It's especially hard at school, where I'm not responsible for every meal and watch my roommates eating pizza, ravioli, and ramen for every meal. It's hard to find the time to track and difficult when I don't always know what I'm eating, but I need to do it.

In other news, I'm trying to decide what to do next year. I have an overseas job offer and am really looking at it but my parents don't approve. If you could be praying about that, it would be great.

    Congratulations on running your first 10k! I haven't done one officially yet, but I'm excited to do one soon.

    Regarding the food, I know sometimes I just have to make due with making the "better" choice when I can't plan, but most of the time I can plan ahead if I work at it.

    Finally, you are in my thoughts and prayers for the last issue. When I was working on my masters degree, we did an activity where we had to figure out the things we most value. It really opened our eyes to thinking about what was REALLY important and showed us that if we weren't following that path, we may not ever be truly happy. Maybe an activity like that would help as you work it out?

    I think it awesome that your doing the mini and training series. I find it great that others are out there with me. Great job on the time and the 10k!
