Day 5 of flavorful food habit

The question of the day is "What can you improve upon?". This refers to the 5% Challenge assignment this week of starting a healthy new habit. I am working on preparing more flavorful food instead of the grab and go type of meals I have been eating recently.

To improve I need to vary the dishes I prepare rather than sticking with the few I have made this week, otherwise meals will get boring. That is really the problem. My meals before this week have been boring. Making new recipes and varying dishes will make for more interesting and satisfying meals. I have the SparkPeople Cookbook, so today I am going to look through it and find something good to prepare.

    get this one, when I had my own ballet school, my landlady actually cooked for me during the week. she was quite adventurous in the kitchen and always managed to come up with something new, kept me wondering what was coming next. believe me I really appreciated that.

    (although it didn't improve my own kitchen skills! that's why to this day I have two recipes in my repertoire, African chicken and Asian chicken.)

    That is a great way to change up the boredom of your meals. I too have the Spark Cookbook & so far have loved the recipes I have made from it.

    You can try a lot of different non-caloric and low or no-sodium herbs and spices to enliven things. Good luck!
