I'm back too. I don't know how into writing entries I'll be, but I wanted to write one today. I went to the gym with them intention of burning 1,000 calories, but I didn't quite make it. Instead, I burned 603 calories in an hour. I think maybe that's a better goal. See if I can't burn more in an hour next time I go. the machine basically stopped keeping track of my workout once I hit the 1-hour mark and said "END". So I gave it up. And I was happy to do so. I was tired.
I'm going to keep track of my calories too. I managed to stay in my goal zone today without really trying. It's easy when I don't go out to eat. But tomorrow I'm meeting a friend for dinner, so I'll have to plan ahead a little. And Thursday is trivia night. I know I won't be able to pass up a slice of the best pizza evar, so I'll have to plan for that too. Friday should be easy. Then Saturday is game night at my parents' house and Janet is making a lasagna.
I can't wait for Saturday. Good times.
A friend of mine offered to share with me a meal plan that he had success with in the past. Apparently, it works out to 1200-1400 calories/day - over the course of 6 meals. I'm not too sure how that's going to shake out. But I told him I'd give it a shot.
My goal is to get back down to where I was 3 years ago. It's hard to believe it was that long ago. But I feel like I'm doing well again. I've made loads of progress in getting my basement cleaned. It's still in process, but progress has been made. And I can play pool down there again.
I definitely want to run a 10K this year. I kind of also would like to run a half marathon. I'm working up to that. I'm still not even running outside yet. Though with the sunlight that was out there today, I have hope those days will be here soon.
