Tuesday, March 05, 2013

Major Vent Warning...I met up with 2 friends this am for coffee, these two women are drop dead gorgeous and fit...I'm just wondering as I watch each of them eat and drink about 800 calories worth of coffee and pastries (if not more that is just my guess) How on earth do they stay thin???? I had a tea and a danish and still felt like I over did it:( How is it fair that they can pretty much eat anything they want and still look fantastic? I on the other hand feel like I have to watch what I eat and drink very carefully ugh and still can't lose the extra lbs!!...Ok I'm done it is just so frustrating emoticon

I know how you feel. That is exactly how my mom and sister are. It can be discouraging at times.. Though I wouldn't trade places with them. Everyone has their own journey and hard ships. It does feel unfair at times. I can gain weight in a just a week if I go off course too much! However they can eat junk for months and not gain an ounce. .... My thought process is exactly your title to this blog when Im around them at times...

One bad meal won't make you fat just like one healthy meal won't make ya skinny! emoticon they've found a balance and ere's nothing wrong with asking them how they find theirs emoticon

I used to wonder the same thing and think how unfair it was, but then I realized that most likely they are working their rears off at the gym and that moments like that are probably rare treats, not the all day everyday thing I used to do. They may be really strict the rest of the day (or week) to make up for it. There's a chance they could be magically blessed with an awesome metabolism, but that's pretty rare so chances are at least one of them is working really hard to be able to eat that way at that meal. I have a friend that doesn't work out and she eats more (and faster than me) whenever we go out. But then I found out that she doesn't eat during the day and then eats a huge dinner. That's just what has naturally worked for her. Don't let it get to you, we usually don't know their whole story, and even if it is easy for them, that just makes what we are doing all the more AMAZING :)

AND just remember just because you are THIN doesn't mean you are HEALTHY. It may mean your metabolism is high but it doesn't mean your arteries aren't clogging from the fat.

This is why you are better served in this battle if your choices are for your health and not just to be skinny.

    Hang in there and emoticon

That's how my baby sister is. Even after she had a baby she was back down to her size zeros in a couple of months. BUT, that just allows us to enjoy the indulgences even more! If it's a special treat it is far more enjoyable than if we can eat what we want, when we want, and as much as we want!

Everybody is so different... Our metabolisms and life-styles are different. Therefore our eating habits will be different.

PLUS - who's to say they aren't eating like that every day and had just noticed a 10lb gain on the scale this morning??

Do what YOU need to do for YOU! Don't let these other people stress you!

I am thin. Many people comment on my eating. If I turn something down, I am told that I shouldn't, I'm skinny and have nothing to worry about. If I eat a ton like your friends did this morning, people grumble that I can eat whatever I want and not gain a thing. The truth, I am young, thin, and fit, and I work hard to be this way. I work hard at it now so that when I go out, I can eat what want. I work hard now so that I won't have to struggle later in life. If I try to be healthy as a young adult, I hope that I always will be. You may be frustrated by my post, but I guess my point is that your friends probably don't eat that way all the time. If they are like me, it was a special occasion and they decided to eat what they felt like.

I think we all have those friends, and we all want them to choke on their sugar filled pastry.
