Exercise has added muscle ....and weight.. sigh.

From Facebook share..

Well I guess I should not complain. I AM losing weight. But it gets a bit irritating when the exercise builds muscle and makes you gain weight. I know, I know, it is only temporary. The muscle will burn more calories and I will lose more fat. It just makes me a bit frustrated.

Sherlock's wounds on his back are healed. No worms. His is eating well. He is becoming more talkative and enjoys watching the birds out the window. He forgets where he is and leaps for the birds. Clawing at the window. I think he is at his normal weight now around 8 pounds.

Sherlock looks happy and healthy. You're lucky to have one another.

If my cat - all 22 lbs of HUGE, unencumbered by brain weight of any consequence *sigh* - hurled himself at the window, he'd undoubtedly go through. He's not even fat - the vet declared him of normal weight and the largest 8 month old kitten he'd even seen (and Sons was a slight fellow of 12 or so pounds then.)

Most cats of my acquaintance are fascinated by running water. I always wanted one of those indoor fountains, but I know what it would immediately become: a cat drinking fountain.

(And to think I have five of these creatures in my house. The dog thinks we're both insane to allow this.)

I am so glad that Sherlock's life will be good from here on out. He looks great! His coat is shiny! I am sure he loves being warm and having food regularly. I have never seen a posting for a lost cat with his description. Someone sure lost a sweet animal which is your gain.

When Spring arrives, you will be busy and the weight will come off. You are always busy and have been successful at keeping the weight off.

You make my day when you post pictures of Sherlock. I wanted to keep him so badly.

Cute cat! Are you using a bodyfat scale? Then you can track as the muscle goes up and fat goes down.
