refresher course

So sometimes I just need a refresher course. How about you?! My husband is a fabulous cook. I've often said that in the past he tried to derail my weight loss efforts. I don't think that's true this time. He has been on my page with my fitting into my clothes and feeling good about myself for at least this past year. Well I think in an effort to help me out with going to school and not being a great cook/homemaker person this semester, he decided to make lasagna on Sunday. It is so good... and bad.. God bless him he offered to take the lasagna over to his mom and dad's and give it to them. LOL. I cannot help but have a second helping of this lasagna each time I eat it. Today will be a lasagna free day LOL. It is soooooo good. I think I will portion it out and freeze it for later.

So for the refresher course. The top article that pops up on my sign in screen is 9 simple tricks to eat less. Where is my half plate of veggies to go with my lasagna? I could have done that... I should have done that.. Did I weigh it? (no i did not). Do I have any clue how much I had? (i could guess but it would be bad LOL). If I had weighed it or tried to think about how much I was having I probably wouldn't have had seconds.. Alas today is a new day.

Today is a new day!!! Each day is a new day, each moment is a new moment. I can do something in this new moment to take a step in the right direction.

    One day isn't so bad. 4 days off plan isn't such a good idea. Cut yourself a break, learn and do that next time. The longer lasagna sits, the better it is.

    Excellent attitude!!!! I also LOVE lasagna....AND have a husband who is constantly tempting me with food/ treats!!!!!! It is part of our battle....Remember, there are no fat fairies wrestling you to the ground to shove the food in your mouth...You are eating it....Soooooo, next time, be firm!!! You can do it!!!!! hang in there and don't give up..... emoticon
