Monday, March 04, 2013

emoticon I'm like, totally geekin....I call to refill a script with me doc....and I'm told she left the practice...and didn't go anywhere, she just left fer family reasons...so, OK, but, hey, a courtesy call from tha place woulda been real nice....now, I'm purely ole geeked...gotta either find a new doc after 4 yrs of bein with one that made me feel safe n brot me back from near death....or go with another doc thru the place she left....whine...I dunno what ta do over all, I'm in shockish...I dunno...might seem like a lil a nothin ta most, but, I don't trust docs so easy...had a heart "specialist" wantin to do "procedures" before I met this other doc n was put on meds that took care of it all.

Aight, I'm babblin, I just wanted ta share me spazz attack.... emoticon

Huh?! That's seems very odd and bizarre. Sorry that you're stressing, but just another challenge/opportunity for you.

Good Luck finding a better provider....

Argh! That happened to me a year ago. She was the best doctor I have ever found, and young enough that I thought she might see me through old age. Then she quit her practice. It is hard to find a new doctor. I finally found a new DO, after an extensive search, but do not like or trust her as much as my previous doctor. Good luck in your search.

It is not easy, with weight problems and all the medical problems our bodies throw at us, our doctors are our lifelines. Wish you luck, find one willing to work with you not just treat you like a number to get through.

It's completely understandable to freak out! When you find a good doctor and then they up and quit can almost be devastating! I'd check out the ratings of different doctors in your area before I go and pick another doctor. I've found that just because they are in the same office doesn't mean anything. This is just my opinion, but I would look for a D.O. in the type of doctor you are looking for. I don't know if you're just looking for a primary care doctor or an endocrinologist but either way I tend to prefer D.O.'s better. There are many different websites out there where people have rated doctor's that they've seen. Good luck! emoticon

Completely understand. I don't even like going to see a Dr. but to have one quit and not get a heads up is terrible. I also agree with BIGPAWSUP, see another one there and see how it feels then if you aren't "feeling it", take the time to find another. Good luck to you!

I agree with Bigpawsup! Hang in there at that office, that way you can still get your meds , then take your time finding a good one. I have that "hard to trust doctors" syndrome too. HUGS!

I understand the "freak out". I agree with you. However, I would start with someone in the current practice just to keep your meds up and then take your time finding someone you can work with.
