To The Top of the Mountain!

I've had such a busy weekend!

So, yesterday I took my little dogs to Spencer's Butte. This is a great hike, but really killer for me. It is pretty much walking uphill for the 2.5 miles. It was very hard for me to do. Towards the end of the hike before you can get to the very top, you have to essentially climb over rocks and around boulders for about another 1/2 mile and then you are at the top. I had taken Maddie May and Brawt my two little doxies. Since their legs are so short, I would have had to carry them over the rocks and didn't want to take the chance of slipping and falling. We headed back down the mountain and then we went to the dog park so they could play. It was actually really nice.

Then, my daughter and I went shopping. I bought three pairs of 5 inch high heels all on sale for $10 each! There is one pair that I'm not so sure I want to keep, so I might exchange them.

Tracking food for the most part, but I did have two beers last night. It just sounded so good.

Today, I have cleaned my house from top to bottom. I did two loads of laundry when my washing machine decided to stop draining and spinning. I went to the laundromat and did three loads, carried them back to the house for them to dry. I'm on the second load in the dryer. I even cleaned my carpet in my bedroom.

I found a great recipe here. Chicken and spinach casserole. I had gone early this morning to Walmart and picked up some cleaning supplies and the ingredients. It is now baking and it smells so very good!!!

The only room left to clean is my bathroom. I need to do it, but my back is having spasms right now, so here I sit. Well, I'm off now to eat dnner and finish watching my movie.

I love the Ridgeline Trail system. You must walk in from the gravel lot on Willamette. I start there usually and walk to Blanton Heights and most of the time do the Spencer's side to the Fox Hollow intersection. I have enough mechanical issues that I stay off the rocks at the top!! Last thing I need is a fall to mess something else up!!
I walk partly because of the calorie burn; but maybe more for what it does to my mind!
We will probably cross paths unknowingly up there some time.
    Happy Trails to You
